The residence is located in sub-urban area of Shilaj, Ahmedabad. The house is meant for a joint family having a couple and their two sons. The home consists of 2 floors and a partial basement intended as a studio for one of the son’s wife who is a painter.

The home responds to the site context of views on the east and southern side and has large openings, a double height veranda and a terrace on these sides. A double height inclined wall at the east entry facilitates wider viewing angles from the veranda and from the interior spaces of the home, creating a striking visual element visible from all the public spaces of the home.
